Gaithouse Events held the first of their Back to Basics runs today at Victoria Park in East Belfast. Stripped back to minimum cost athletes had an opportunity to grab a new PB on an Athletics NI certified distance of either 5k or 10k.
As you can see below, some great times were recorded and had! The rain cleared in time for the start and the sun popped through a few times too! I would like to thank my co-directors at Gaithouse, Hannah Robinson, Ian Frazer and Kieran McNamara for putting together a great couple of hours of running.
Thanks to our marshals Lynn, Bobby and Lucy McGonigal, Rebecca McNamara, Sheena Crone, Alistair Ferguson at Ambutran and Andy at Championchip Ireland helping make sure things went smoothly.
